We might still be in recession, and yes, Stockbridge is probably one of the cafe-epicentres of Edinburgh (the other one being Bruntsfield), but despite all odds there is still space for improvement and the time has come now – or at least that’s the belief of Chris Thompson, owner of The Pantry.
The newest addition to Stockbridge catering scene is not only a Farmhouse Shop and Kitchen – it aims to be the best cafe in Scotland. An innovative menu, fresh decor and friendly service are completed by fresh produce on the plates and in store, to buy. Will they beat the fierce Edinburgh competition in their quest for the title?
